Pop-culture-reference time. This one reminds me of that old 80's sitcom, "Night Court." Bull, the lumbering balif, played by Richard Mull, carved a pumpkin by punching it, so the jack-o-lantern had a similar look, that of a fist-impact star-pattern on it.
